Jordan Rosin (he/they) [USA] is a director/choreographer, actor/creator, and researcher/teacher, specializing in Butoh Dance and ensemble-devised physical theatre. Jordan was co-founder & Producing Artistic Director of the New York City-based physical theatre ensemble The Ume Group from 2011-2016 and is a frequent collaborator with the butoh company Ren Gyo Soh. He received his BFA in Drama from Syracuse University and MFA in Physical Theatre from Dell’Arte International. Select past theatre projects include the internationally award-winning shows Butoh Medea and Citizens of Nowhere, along with Butoh Electra, Isis Variations, and Facet. Jordan is co-editing with Heidi Winters Vogel Storytelling on Screen: A Playback Theatre Archive, which will be released September 2021. Jordan is a member of Playback North America and the International Playback Theatre Network, a founding member of Playback for People, and a 2019 - 2021 Teaching Fellow in the Department of Theatre & Cinema at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. www.jordanrosin.com / www.jordanrosin.net
