This bio was already in Sched, so cool, here it is:

Patrick Short serves as co-owner and General Manager of CSz Portland (Oregon). Established in 1993, the company has performed over 5,100 ComedySportz shows, 1,000 other improv and scripted events, taught 2,000+ classes and has continued these efforts online in the pandemic. Patrick began using Applied Improvisation during graduate school, teaching elementary education candidates at the University of Wisconsin how to survive in the classroom. After receiving the MFA degree in Directing, Patrick moved into hi-tech marketing and then sales, assisting clients with their acquisition of manufacturing and distribution systems; this career allowed him the opportunity to learn how companies work - and sometimes don't work. He's taught our 101 Class, a beginning improv course, 114 times - and has designed and led custom workshops for over 700 organizations, including our very first engagement with Apple in 1989. Patrick is the co-author of Jill and Patrick's Small Book of Improv for Business and Yes, And Your Customer Service. Corporate clients include Intel, Nike, Apple, Google, GE, IBM, Swiss Colony, Salt & Straw, Tik Tok, Liberty Mutual, DuPont, Accenture, Columbia Sportswear and more; government clients come from local, county, state and federal levels.

On the music side, Patrick has produced 10 albums of pop music this century, including NorthEast Pacific with Amy Gray and Ithica Tell (tell.short.gray) released during CWC week; Quality of Death, music from the play by Ruth Jenkins, released in February. He's written more than 50 songs for clients, most around scripted issues-oriented plays produced for touring to schools. CSz Portland has always focused heavily on musical improv, and Patrick has taught nearly 100 classes in in the last 20 years, including those at AIN and GII Conferences and he's played keys for Micetro performances at the last two Global Improv Initiative conferences. His live band, The Dad Kennedys, plays cover tunes around Portland.

Patrick is married to Ruth Jenkins, CSz Portland Club President and Queen, and they have produced two adults: Cowan Jenkins, a TV person in Boise, ID, and Fiona Jenkins, who just graduated from the University of British Columbia with the BFA in Acting and Film.
